What to Do in Las Vegas
As the largest city in the state of Nevada, Las Vegas is one of the most dazzling places for your next vacation. Whether you want to try to win your luck at the casinos or party all night, Sin City has limitless activities for tourists.
But Las Vegas tourism has more to offer than Black Jack and clubbing. There are many sights, activities, and entertainment to consume — no matter your interests.
Do you know what to do in Las Vegas? Here are a few of our recommendations.
Kayak on the Black Canyon
The Black Canyon is a deep gorge that descends into a river.
If you would rather live up Vegas by exploring nature, you’ll love venturing off into the Black Canyon. We especially recommend kayaking on the river. You can find kayak tours where you can see the wildlife and eye the beautiful landscapes. Some of the animals you can expect to see include bighorn sheep, elk, mule deer, and golden eagles.
Another place you should explore is Emerald Cave. This small cave is tucked into the Black Canyon and is a natural majesty.
Ride in a Helicopter
The best way to explore Vegas is up in the sky. That’s why a helicopter trip is a must. While you’re up in the sky, you can see the twinkling lights of Vegas. The Vegas lights illuminate the night sky — gazing upon this is an unforgettable experience.
You don’t have to take your Vegas helicopter ride at night. If you go during the day, you’ll get so many spectacular views of the natural landscapes, especially Mt. Charleston, Red Rock Canyon, Nellis Air Force Base, and more.
Go on a Horseback Tour
Do you wish you lived in the wild wild west? Your fantasies can become a reality when you go on a horseback tour. You’ll take your horseback tour at dusk, which is the most colorful time of the day in the city. You’ll see beautiful natural sights and will dine like a cowboy. And who said you have to go alone? A horseback tour is a perfect activity for lovers, families, and friends.
Marry the Love of Your Life
Sure, Vegas weddings are very stereotyped. But there are many reasons why Vegas weddings are some of the best. Other than the last-minute chapel weddings, Vegas is the perfect wedding destination because of all of the festivities the city offers. You’ll have the bachelor and bachelorette parties of a lifetime. Plus, your loved ones will have a blast at a Vegas wedding reception.
What if you would rather have your wedding close to home? You can still celebrate in Vegas by choosing this destination as your honeymoon. You can ring in your marriage with some serious partying. Even if you and your new spouse aren’t big partyers, there are so many romantic activities for newlyweds.

The Grand Canyon is one of the most iconic Las Vegas attractions. You can easily access a tour of the Grand Canyon from Las Vegas. As one of the seven wonders of the world, the Grand Canyon offers an experience like no other. You can hike and walk the various trails, reaching the top to look at the amazing views.
If you’re not an outdoorsy person, the Grand Canyon offers other family-friendly activities, such as various museums close to the area.
Visit the Hotels
Did you know that Las Vegas has 150,000 hotels? Exploring the various hotels in Sin City is an activity in itself. Even if you’re staying at the cheap-o motel, you can still visit the more exquisite resorts and get a taste of luxury.
You can get cultural when you visit the Mediterranean-inspired Bellagio and Venice-inspired Venetian. Visit either hotel and try your luck at poker. Plus, that fountain show at the Bellagio is a must!
If history is more your thing, you can visit the Luxor hotel. When you look at the 30-story pyramid, you’ll feel like you’re in Ancient Egypt. Plus, the hotel even offers a museum. Caesars Palace also offers several entertainment shows and concerts.

There are aquariums and then there are shark reefs. If you’re a shark lover, this is the ultimate aquarium for you. The Shark Reef Aquarium is home to 15 shark species. You can walk right up to the glass and come face-to-face with the most terrifying animals in the ocean.
In addition to sharks, the Shark Reef Aquarium hosts 2,000 other animal species, including exotic fish. The Shark Reef is located in Mandalay Bay, another resort and casino you should visit!
Ride the High Roller at the LINQ
At 550 feet tall, the High Roller at the LINQ is the largest Ferris wheel in North America! This Ferris wheel is so big to where it takes a half-hour to take one revolution! This Ferris wheel has become synonymous with Vegas, much like the various hotels and casinos. You can 360 views of Vegas, some of the best you can ever see.
Don’t want to go alone? The cabins are spacious, perfect if you’re with the family or a group of friends.
